There are two types of dextrocardia;

  1. Dextrocardia of embryonic arrest
    • The heart is located farther right in the thorax.
  2. Dextrocardia situs inversus
    • The heart becomes a mirror image of its normal left placement, but on the right side.

What causes this unusual birth defect ? If you were pregnant, and you took an anti-depressant like Zoloft®, Prozac®, Effexor®, Lexapro®, and the likes, then it is highly likely that this is the cause. That's the bad news.

The good news is that you can get compensated for having given birth to a baby with this severe birth defect. An attorney will get in touch with you to discuss your case.
